Wine Tasting at Ferini Art Gallery, Pakefield - 30th May 2008.
The wine tasting event at Ferini was another great evening; it has all the ingredients needed for greatness: a superb venue (if you've never visited Ferini Art Gallery then you're missing out), guided wine tasting from the World Famous Lowestoft Wine Company and fabulous food from us.

Starters were Tartine with Mascarpone and Basil and Lime Dressing, Griddled Aubergines, Stuffed Piquante Peppers.

First Course was Sausage Risotto and/or Cappelletti with Butter and Sage Dressing.

Dessert was a medley of fresh and frozen fruits with warm chocolate sauce.

Pastel Workshops
Every other Saturday we run workshops for Community Interest Company 'Pastel' - providing experimentational food preparation and cooking experiences for a group of young people.

In addition to the food prepared - sandwiches, salads, choc chip cookies and ginger snaps - the young people are working towards their Level 1 Food Safety Certificate.

Buffet for Local Achievers
23rd May 2008 saw us at the Kirkley Centre in Lowestoft providing a buffet for 25 local learners, all receiving an award for recognition of achievements.

The buffet was, of course, Mediterranean and comments were: Lovely food - so different - wow! - why don't you move in to the Kirkley Centre and keep cooking?! Maybe we will!

Serata a Scuola at Kirkley High School - 28th May 2008
A group of foodies joined us for a 'Ready, Steady, Cook' style evening with a difference - all Italian food.

Roberto and Helen demonstrated Pasta alla Carbonara, Melanzane alla Parmigiana (a bit like lasagne but slithers of pre-griddled aubergines instead of pasta) and Profiteroles with warm chocolate sauce and summer berries.

We improvised a large dining table and 10 of us sat down to share the food we had prepared, starting with Antipasti - salame, sweet piquante peppers, olives and grissini. Participants received the recipes via e-mail.
